The Holocaust Research and Education Hub at the University of Maryland, Baltimore County (UMBC) is an interdisciplinary academic initiative dedicated to advancing Holocaust research, scholarship, and innovation in the digital age. The Hub supports and promotes Holocaust educational research through interdisciplinary collaboration and forward-looking approaches to scholarship, learning, and public engagement.
The Hub brings together faculty, staff, researchers, students, and community partners to explore new approaches to Holocaust education, digital preservation and testimony, and intergenerational transmission of memory.
Our work integrates historical scholarship, educational research, and emerging technologies to strengthen Holocaust education, combat distortion, and support meaningful intergenerational engagement.
Our Mission
The Hub exists to advance Holocaust studies through research and academic programming, to preserve historical accuracy, and to sustain an ongoing dialogue between the past and future generations.
